Honey-Balsamic Glazed Pearl Onions

I love onions. There is no doubt about it. I have been cooking with them as long as I can remember. I prefer red ones. Pearl onions in the other hand, are pretty. They are great for presentation. Petite, small, white pearls.
This recipe is a side dish for your main course.

You will need one bag of white small pearl onions.

You will also need butter, grade A honey, balsamic vinegar, PLUS…

My secret ingredient: Golden cooking wine.

In a large skillet over medium heat, combine butter, honey, balsamic vinegar, salt and let it cook for 30 seconds.

Proceed by adding the onions. Let it cook for 1 minute and stir constantly. Then add the water and the cooking wine. Let it cook for 10 to 12 minutes over medium to low heat until the liquid has almost evaporated.

This is truly a very easy and delicious recipe.
