A Single Dinner Plate

I don’t know if it was the Caribbean’ colors like blue and orange that attracted me to this beautiful dinner plate, but I am officially hooked.

It is indeed different and that is probably why I like it this much. It stands out in my kitchen’s cabinets comparing it to my formal dinnerware which is very white and very heavy.

This is a unique piece. It is hand painted. Just by looking at it, it makes me want to take a trip to Madrid, Spain and eat paella. Yes, for some reason every time I look at this plate, I immediately think about Spain.

I don’t know why I only bought one. Maybe my tiny self inside of me was telling me that I already had a dinnerware set at home and maybe I didn’t need another one.

I think is it the center piece. Yes, that is it.

The center piece reminds me of the floor back in my elementary and high school abroad which is very much Spanish.

This is not the only single dinner plate I have. I noticed that in the last five months I have bought six other single dinner plates that caught my attention. Some I found at a vintage shop I like to go to once in a while to find old stuff.

I wonder if I’m the only one that does this. Do you have a single dinner plate? Or bowl?

This dinnerware set is a nice gift idea for those who like this kind of art.

If you like it as much as I do, this plate is from the Vida by Eva Mendes Dinnerware Collection. You can buy it at Macy’s

P.S. My next target at the vintage shop is an old rotary black telephone. Yes… Those old ones from the 1950′s.

This is not a paid advertisement. I just like it a lot.
