Surrounded by Animals

 

During our vacation in the Dominican Republic,  HB and I got the opportunity to live surrounded by different types of animals. It was so funny how they would socialize with you.

 

This, not so little girl, is a peacock or at least that’s what everybody was calling her. She would make faces and pretend she was asleep.

 

See? She would close her eyes. Make a pretty face and pretend she was asleep. She was waiting for me to say “Aww, she is so cute” {This is when I usually threw a piece of bread}. Smart bird right?

 

These two are American Flamingos. They were the stars around the restaurants {Restaurants are surrounded by water}. Everybody took pictures of them and they seem to love it. What a couple of stars!

 

A week after we arrived, we went to a local park. This is Peter. The sweet little kitty. The kitty that was just a tiny, thin fence away from us. Scary!

 

We also saw a Sea Lion show. I even got kissed on the cheek by her. Her name is Dory and she likes the attention.

 

See? She really does.

 

It was a beautiful time. The time that I spent feeding them because I love them. I love them but far, far away from me.
