Purina Pro Plan Selects

As a future chef, not only I make sure my family is eating the right food and getting their nutrients, I make sure my pets are well fed too.

When I was offered the opportunity to review Purina Pro Plan Selects I immediately jumped in. Not only it is a brand I trust, it is a brand I have been feeding my dogs with. Ginger and Brownie eat regular Purina Pro Plan. Now you can understand why it was so easy for them to just dig in the bowl.

Our pets are everything to us. They are the ones waiting at home for me late at night after a long day in the kitchen. They usually wait for me in the kitchen and as soon as they hear me they start wiggling their tails left and right. This is the part when I give them a treat or two or three because I just love them.

Pets don’t care how you look or how bad your day was. They just love you no matter what. And we love them back.

This is an image that I forever have to live with. It happens everyday.

 

Don’t get carry away with her face. She is quite a dog with a personality. We call her feisty sometimes.

She is adorable and we love her but… She barks at any dog that is on TV. She barks at any dog passing by our house. She wiggles her tail at anyone.

She also would sit, down or give you her paw for a Beggin’ Strip.

 

This is what happens when you let her know that it is ok to “take it”. She starts by staring at it.

And then…

 

Boom! She digs in. I am happy. She is very picky. It took me awhile to discover which brand she likes the most before and to see that she enjoys Selects is priceless.

 

This is Brownie. He is quiet inside the house and loud outside. We have never heard him bark once in the house and we like it like that. Imagine two versions of Ginger? Oh no! No no no no no!

He is the most adorable and charming dog you could ever meet. At only 14 pounds, he is so strong and unique. He is weird and I like him for being weird.

Unlike Ginger, Brownie would sit, down or give you his right front paw only if he can see you have a piece of Beggin Strip in your hand. Smart dog! Too smart!

My mind was more at ease about changing his food. Brownie only has eaten Purina Pro Plan since he was born AND he is not a picky eater at all. I knew he would accept the new food right away.

 

And so he did. Brownie throws his food out the bowl and then he eats it from the floor. See? Unique!

    I do not have a pet but I love the dog next door. He is such a cutie and loveable fellow. I walk him when his owners are unable to.

    I love watching the two of my kitties playing. It so fun watching them chase each other around and then they curl up and sleep together.

    I love how my 7 kitties are there for me when I feel down. My Cheddar especially seems to know when I need a head nuzzle!

    I feed them Pro Plan Selects for kitties and they love it.

    I love everything about my pet dog Rex. He makes me laugh and brings me joy. He does funny things like, Before he lays down or goes to bed he runs and gets a milk bone, it’s like it has to be there waiting for him when he wakes up. It’s so funny.

    I love how my cat, Lucky, sleeps with me every night. He literally sleeps in the crook of my arm, using it as a pillow, under the covers! My boyfriend gets mad that i could the cat instead of him!

    I have a cat, Houdini, who is a ragdoll, we think, though we got him at the shelter. He acts like a baby and dog; he wants to be held alot, hangs over my shoulder like a baby. He follows us around like a dog. He is very comforting, and funny. He also likes to play, and likes to be scratched on his stomach, which is rare for a cat

    I like everything about my pets! Ok, to be honest, quite often I’d be happy to not have to pick up poop. But they make me smile, they keep me company, they keep me warm (when they aren’t stealing covers and yelling at each other). I love my Gem’s ears – they are bouncy! I love Cleo’s attitude – it is five times her real size. I love Cin’s knocking on the door to be let in or out.

    I get my dog love from my boss’s dog who comes to work every day. My son has allergies so I can’t have my own. It is nice to see her tail wag every day when you get there.

    I loved how my doggy couldn’t make his mind up about who he wanted to be with. He would come and lay with me for a few minutes and then go lay with my hubby for a few minutes. He did this thoughout the day when we were home and not in the same room. I really miss my baby.

    We’re the “adopted grandparents” of a couple of the neighborhood dogs. One loves to join us on our daily walks. He’ll sit out by the road waiting for us, and will join us when we hit his property line. He’ll walk with us until we come back to his property line, and then he’ll run back to his dog house to drink some water and rest.

    I used to have a Pekingnese and I loved that she was stubborn. I know that sounds funny… but at 10 pounds she could be stubborn and it was quite comical to watch her try to get her way.

    I love the way that my bunnies act with each other. They are rarely apart and frequently cuddling and grooming each other. It is so sweet to see them together.

    I love my pets loyalty we really have fun on walks or just sitting around the house. Their particular quirks are funny too and we enjoy their antics usually unless it involves digging a hole outside.

    I’ve had many dogs with very diverse personalities. I have loved them all! My Pekeapoo, Jimmy Cagney, was great because he was an actor. He literally donned many costumes for the seasons while I worked at a nursing home and made MANY MANY MANY people happy.

    Alex (Lhasa Apso) was a great baby-sitter. He (along with 2 cats) made sure my baby changed positions. In 1990 it wasn’t vogue to tell mothers to have tummy time. Let me tell you Alex and the cats made sure she had tummy, back and roll-over time!

    Pippi, our Australian Shepherd, came into my daughter’s life as a teen. Pip makes sure she never misses a meal. Whenever the timer goes off or the plates are getting ready she makes such a whining commotion that the girl comes down in time :).

    Our Bassett Allie is wonderful! She’s totally integrated in our family. She will play enlessly with my kids anytime and anywhere. She’s extremely protective of them and will put herself in harms way to ensure their safety and is irreplaceable!
